Royal Aviation Museum: Mini Astronaut Camp

The Spring Break Mini-Astronaut Training Camp at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada is a hands-on space-themed program where kids can experience what it’s like to train as an astronaut! Designed for children and families interested in science and space, participants explore the skills, teamwork, and technology behind modern spaceflight, inspired by missions like Artemis and the return to the Moon.

Assiniboine Park Zoo: Small but Mighty Day Camp

April 2, 9:00am – 4:00pm

Campers will discover some of the Zoo’s smallest yet most powerful creatures, spend time outdoors, and learn why these often-overlooked animals are so remarkable. From cockroaches and naked mole rats to blind cavefish, campers will uncover the unique adaptations and secrets of some of the Zoo’s most fascinating critters.

Winnipeg Art Gallery: Cardboard Sculpture Creations Art Camp

March 30 – April 2, 9:00am – 4:00pm

Ages 7-11

In this hands-on, creativity-driven camp, young artists turn everyday cardboard into amazing works of art. Campers will design and build everything from robots and animals to imaginative sculptures while learning the basics of 3D design and construction using recycled materials. Each day introduces new techniques that encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. Along with their own projects, campers will collaborate on group creations, ending the week with a special showcase for family and friends.

Camp Manitou: Spring Break Camp

March 30 – April 2, 9:00am – 4:00pm

Grades 1-6

Full four day camp: $300

Single day camp: $80

Camp Manitou’s Spring Break Camp offers two main options for kids in Grades 1–6: a general outdoor camp and a hockey-focused program. The regular “Spring into Spring” camp features classic outdoor activities like skating, snowshoeing, tobogganing, bannock making, and arts and crafts, along with meals and special camp experiences. The “Breakaway” hockey camp includes two daily on-ice sessions, dryland training, and classroom lessons on nutrition and hockey skills, plus additional camp activities. Both options run over four days and are designed to keep kids active, learning, and having fun outdoors during spring break.

Winnipeg Humane Society: Spring Kids Camps

March 30 – April 2, 9:00am – 4:00pm

Ages 6-12

$250 for a four day camp

$75 for a single day camp

The WHS Kid Camps offer children a behind-the-scenes look at the animal shelter while teaching compassion and kindness. Through crafts, games, workshops, and special guest visits, campers learn about animal care and hear inspiring rescue stories. The program combines fun and education to help kids build empathy and grow into caring, responsible animal advocates.
