How many homes do they sell?
Experience matters, especially when you’re making one of the largest financial decisions of your life. You need a realtor with a pulse on the market, who has all the right connections and industry knowledge to properly position your home and attract the best offers.
How fast do they sell homes?
Selling a home can be stressful! Vacating for showings, keeping your space pristine and decluttered, and even making space for staging can be an arduous process. Why drag it out for longer than you need? Ask for an agent’s average days on market to ensure you’re working with someone who will make the process as simple and painless as possible for you.
Do they typically sell homes above or below asking price?
It’s a common myth that all homes are selling for above asking price. While it’s true that bidding wars have increased as of late, you still do see improperly managed listings sitting on the MLS for months at a time, subject to price reductions before they can sell. This can be detrimental; if your house keeps showing up in searches without buzz, people will assume there’s a reason for that and stay away. It’s important to get it right the first time, with an agent who knows how to get top dollar for your home.
